HOW TO SOW & CARE

• Sprouting: Place the scarred seeds in a clear glass of warm, non-chlorinated water. Change the water daily. They should sprout within 4–7 days.

• Potting: Once the sprout is a few inches long and has tiny roots, plant it in a wide, shallow pot filled with heavy clay-like soil (pond soil).

• Placement: Lower the pot into a larger container or pond so that there are about 2–4 inches of water above the soil line.

• Sunlight: Lotus plants are sun-lovers; they need at least 6–8 hours of direct sunlight to bloom.

• Fertilizing: Once the plant has aerial leaves (leaves standing out of the water), add aquatic fertilizer tablets once a month.
