Plant description

• Commonly sold forms like Aglaonema ‘Siam Aurora’ or other red cultivars have upright, clumping growth and broad lance‑shaped leaves marked with red, pink and green.​

• Grows slowly to a compact 30–60 cm indoors, so it fits well on side tables, countertops or as a floor plant in smaller rooms.​

Light & placement

• Tolerates low to medium indirect light, but brighter filtered light keeps the red colour more intense; direct harsh sun can scorch leaves.​

• Ideal spots include living rooms, bedrooms or offices a few feet away from an east or north window, or near a bright window with a sheer curtain.​

Watering, soil & humidity

• Water when the top 3–5 cm of soil feel dry; the mix should stay lightly moist, never soggy, to avoid root rot.​

• Best in a well‑draining peat/coco‑based potting mix with added perlite or sand for aeration.​
