Golden Malta (Mosambi) is a sweet lime–type citrus that bears juicy, low‑acid yellow fruits ideal for fresh juice and table use. A 4–5 feet plant is a strong grafted sapling, already well established and close to its initial fruiting stage under proper care.

Plant description

• Evergreen citrus tree with glossy, dark green leaves and fragrant white blossoms that appear mainly in spring and early summer.

• Mature trees can reach 3–5 m tall, but 4–5 feet plants are at a manageable size for pot culture, terrace gardens and easy transport.

Fruit qualities & uses

• Medium to large round fruits with golden‑yellow skin at maturity and very sweet, mildly tangy juice rich in vitamin C.

• Excellent for fresh mosambi juice, summer drinks, fruit salads and light desserts; also valued for home wellness routines.

Growing conditions & care

• Needs full sun for 6–8 hours daily and well‑drained sandy or loamy soil; avoid waterlogging to prevent root diseases.

• Water regularly to keep soil evenly moist, especially for the first 2–3 years and during flowering/fruiting, but let the top layer dry slightly between waterings.

• Feed 3–4 times a year with citrus fertiliser or NPK plus organic manure; prune lightly to keep the canopy open and productive.
